What we’re doing to support our Earth

Textile Waste (Debrand)
Current Approximate Weight of Textile Waste Recycled : 7,497 lbs

Soiled, or otherwise unusable textile waste is sent to Surrey, BC, for recycling.

About Debrand in their own words:

Why transparency matters from Debrand’s perspective:

“ The landscape around textile circularity is evolving quickly. Resale is gaining momentum, policy frameworks like Extended Producer Responsibility are advancing, and expectations around transparency continue to rise. As more stakeholders enter the space, the systems supporting circularity are being tested—revealing gaps in infrastructure, inconsistencies in definitions, and limited visibility into real outcomes. Without greater alignment and clarity, the industry risks not only inefficiency, but a loss of credibility.

At the same time, there is real opportunity to build stronger, more accountable systems. Increased investment and collaboration can expand what’s possible, but only if paired with transparent data and practical execution. This report is our contribution to that shift, offering a clearer view into how these systems function today, and where we collectively need to go next. ”

Textile Donations
Current Approximate Weight of Textile Donations Received : 727.1 lbs

An accumulation of the fabric donations we have received since opening. These are all the textiles we are able to supply in-store, thus diverting them from landfills. 

These donations would include: Fabric WIP’s, Fabric Items in our Scrap Wall, Yardage, Batting, Quilt Blocks, and other similar items.

Non-Textile Donations
Current Approximate Weight of Non-Textile Donations Received : 162.3 lbs

An accumulation of the non-fabric donations we have received since the Spring of 2026. These are all the Notion-like items we are able to supply in-store, thus diverting them from landfills. 

These donations would include: Rulers, Scissors, Threads, and other similar items.

Unfixable Machines
Current Approximate Weight of Stripped Sewing Machines Recycled : Still Calculating

An accumulation of the striped sewing machines we have recycled since the Spring of 2026. 

This would be the remaining shell and/or parts of any unrepairable sewing machines/sergers we have removed all salvageable working parts from to repair future machines. 

Paper & Cardboard
Current Approximate Weight of Paper Products Recycled : 129.5 lbs

An accumulation of the paper products we have recycled since the Spring of 2026. 

This would include: Fabric bolts, product/shipment boxes,  and other similar items.

Other Recycling
Current Approximate Weight of Various Recycling Items Recycled : 21.6 lbs

An accumulation of the flexible plastics, glass, mixed containers, and refundables we have recycled since the Spring of 2026. 

This would include: Plastic bags, drink bottles, beverage cans, and other similar items.

Landfill
Current Approximate Weight of Landfill Waste Produced : 8 lbs

An accumulation of non-recyclable waste we have created since the Spring of 2026. Regrettably, we are not yet at a point where we are completely without landfill waste, though we are doing our best to reach that goal.

This would include: Biowaste like adhesive bandages, and other similar items.
