About Us
The Green Thimble is a local sewing machine and fabric shop with a focus on sustainability, repairability, and inspiring creativity. We help sewists of all levels find the tools, machines, and materials they need to bring their projects to life.

About the Role
We’re looking for a friendly and approachable Sales Associate to join us for the busy fall season. In this role, you’ll welcome customers, help them choose sewing machines and supplies, and create a positive shopping experience in our store.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with machine and supply purchases

• Learn and demonstrate key features of sewing machines (training provided)

• Suggest accessories, notions, and supplies to complement purchases

• Keep the store organized, tidy, and well-stocked

• Process sales accurately and efficiently

• Support the team with general store duties as needed

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred

• Sewing knowledge/interest is an asset, but not required (training provided)

• Friendly, patient, and approachable personality

• Reliable and comfortable working independently at times

• Available 2–3 shifts per week, including occasional weekends
