Fun with Embroidery - EDUCATION WORKSHOP

With guidance from a BERNINA educator, participants will explore the foundations of successful embroidery—from proper setup to achieving clean, professional-quality results. This class is perfect for those looking to expand their embroidery knowledge and get more out of their machine.

*You do not need to have a BERNiNA to participate in this class. Please let us know which machine you have and will be bringing with you so we can set you up with the proper embroidery file for your machine.

Machines:
This is a BERNINA machine-specific class.
Students are strongly encouraged to bring their own embroidery machine in good working order.
We will have three machines available for classroom use. If you would like to reserve one, please let us know in advance.
Students Must Bring:

BERNINA or bernette embroidery machine with embroidery capability (recommended)

Embroidery hoop(s) compatible with your machine

Assortment of polyester embroidery thread (a variety of colours recommended)

At least one empty bobbin

White bobbin thread

Basic sewing supplies (scissors, snips, etc.)
Provided in Class:

Event kit (one per attendee, provided by BERNINA of Canada)

Materials to complete a towel project and a lace project

Instructor:
Allison Giroux was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario and discovered her passion for quilting nearly 18 years ago when she began longarm quilting. She spent several years working as both a longarm quilter and educator at a local quilt store, sharing her knowledge and helping others build confidence in their sewing and quilting skills.
Since April 2025, Allison has been a Product Educator with BERNINA, travelling across the country to demonstrate machines, teach classes, and inspire makers with her enthusiasm for the brand and the creative possibilities it offers.
