Fleece Please! – A Cozy Sewing Adventure

Get ready to stitch your way into comfort! In Fleece Please!, we’ll dive into the wonderfully soft world of fleece—a forgiving, cozy fabric that’s perfect for fun and functional sewing projects.
Skill level: Advanced Beginner
Skill requirements:
A couple beginner level classes, such as 'Tote Bag for New Sewists', have sewn a several projects on your own PLUS basic sewing experience (knowing how to thread and use a sewing machine, wind a bobbin, construct simple seams, and be familiar with sewing terminology such as "right sides of fabric together" and "seam allowance").
Must be aged 16+
Students will get to choose from a variety of fleece-friendly projects, such as:

Cozy hats & scarves

Plush pillows
-
Pajama pants or shorts
-
Simple stuffed animals or cozy home accessories
We’ll cover all the tips and tricks for sewing with fleece, including:

How to cut and prep fleece for clean results
-
Choosing the right stitches and machine settings
-
Techniques to avoid stretching and bulk
-
How to do appliqué on fleece for fun personal touches
Fleece fabric will be available in a variety of colors and patterns, or you’re welcome to bring your own. Bring your creativity—and let’s get snuggly with it!
Materials Included:

Assorted fleece fabrics (optional to bring your own)

Use of sewing machines & basic tools

Project templates and instruction sheets
What to Bring:

Your own fleece (½ to 2 yards depending on project)

Personal sewing kit (scissors, pins, etc.)
- Machine if you have one (please remember to bring your power cord and foot pedal)
Leave class with:
A completed project (or two!) and the confidence to tackle fleece on your own.
