Stash to Splash - Jelly Roll Rug

Learn in this 2 week class how to make your very own jelly roll rug using your own stash fabric from home, with Heather! By the end of class, you will complete a unique jelly roll rug.

In this class, the focus is on teaching you the basics of cutting your strips and basics in jelly roll rug making with tips and tricks on how to sew flat curves. All while using a your scrap stash of fabric from home. This class is a perfect way to use up your remnant stash piles that you don't know what to do with!

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner/intermediate

Skill requirements:

You must know how to set up/use your sewing machine, be comfortable with basic sewing vocabulary, be confident in sewing along a specified guideline, and have a machine strong enough to sew through medium-thickness fabrics. It may be helpful to have worked with quilt batting/ thick fabrics previously, though not a requirement. Also, please keep in mind that this is a trickier project, but is quite fun and gets easier as you go, do your best not to get discouraged! It took Heather a couple of tries as well to get the start of the rug just right, but it does come together once you’ve found your rhythm!

Please note: depending on how fast you learn, you may have homework to complete between classes.
