Fabric Education Workshop
This Fabric Education Class is designed to help sewing enthusiasts and designers confidently choose and identify fabrics for any project. Through hands-on activities and demonstrations, students will learn the differences between fibre content and fabric types, how to perform burn tests and other fabric identification methods, and how to match fabrics to specific project needs.
The class also includes practical guidance for navigating fabric stores and understanding fabric properties like drape, stretch, and durability, ensuring better outcomes in sewing and design.
Class Overview & Objectives
By the end of this class, students will:

Learn how to identify unknown fabrics using burn tests and other tactile/visual clues.

Know how to select appropriate fabrics for different sewing and design projects.
