Pants Like No Ones Watching: Fit Edition

This 5 week, intermediate-level pants fitting class is designed for students who have experience with garment sewing and are ready to take their pants-making skills to the next level. Whether you're working from a recirculated pattern provided in class or using a favourite pattern of your own, this course focuses on achieving a personalized fit and exploring more complex finishing details.
Pants Like No Ones Watching is the second edition to Shall We Pants, the intro to pant making. It is recommended to taken the intro to pant making first, but not necessary if you have an intermediate level of garment making.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill requirements:
Have sewn a few garments projects on your own, know how to read a pattern and understand size chart PLUS basic sewing experience (knowing how to thread and use a sewing machine, wind a bobbin, construct simple seams, and be familiar with sewing terminology such as "right sides of fabric together" and "seam allowance").
Must be aged 16+

* NOTE THAT DEPENDING ON YOUR PANT, YOU MAY NOT GET TO YOUR FINISHED GARMENT DONE, BUT WILL LEAVE WITH A PROPERLY FITTED PATTERN
What we provide:
- Recirculated fabric and pattern - we have a selection of fabric that would appropriate to use for your muslin (mock-up) that is included. We also have a small collection of pant patterns to choose from. **We recommend you come and see what we have well before the first class.
- Booklet with measurement chart and fit information specific to pant making to take with you
- References to videos to watch for homework/for future pant making on your own
- 15 hours of instruction (note - homework is recommend, but not necessary)
What you bring:
- Machine (if you are nota able to bring yours, you can use one of ours)
- Tracing paper
- Muslin fabric if you are not choosing from our recirculated selection (Choose a fabric that is going to be close to you final fabric)
- Pant pattern if you are not choosing from our recirculated selection
- Quilt or straight ruler *
- French curve *
- Frixion and regular pens *
- Rotary cutter *
- Scissors (paper and fabric) *
