Have you ever wanted to decorate fabric with your own design? Join us for a fun afternoon of fabric printing with Jeanine, a former high school art teacher!
This workshop will teach you the fundamentals of how to carve your own unique Lino stamp. Then you will be shown how to print effectively with your stamp, explaining options for creating a repeat. You will leave the workshop with your lino stamp and a piece of decorated fabric that you can then use at home or in another class to sew into a garment or household item!
Skill Level: Beginner
Skill requirements: There are no prerequisites for this class
In this workshop you will learn:
- To reverse your image.
- How to repeat an image.
- Safely use Lino cutters and Easy Cut materials
- How to use brayers and ink.
- How to print cleanly.
What we provide:
- Tools
- Ink
- Lino (4x6 lino block to take home)
What you provide:
- .5m of Washed Quilting Cotton (Included in class price if selected from The Green Thimble - please arrive early to make your selections)
