Quick and Easy Sewing Mat Class

In this class you will make a very useful organizing mat for your sewing machine, which you can roll up and bring to class. In this class you learn to make a quilting sandwich and quilt it, sew on binding

Please note this is a two-session class, both 
Two classes of 2 hours

Skill level: Beginner-Intermediate

Fabric Requirements:

1 meter main fabric 

1 meter backing fabric 

.25 m coordinating fabric for pocket or pieces making 5 1/4” x 28”

.5m binding fabric and ties

Batting minimum size : 28”x 28”

All fabric is included in class price. Please arrive early (ideally before the day of class or 20+ minutes before start time) to make your selections. 

No additional materials are needed for this class, as everything is included, but if you have your own:

Thread for quilting and sewing

Scissors

Rotary cutter, rulers and cutting mat 

Erasable pen

Sewing machine in good working order with bobbins (We recommend having your machine serviced before class begins if you are unsure of its condition. Please drop it off at least 2 weeks ahead of class time.) 

Any other standard notions such as straight pins, stitch ripper, etc.
