Heather’s sewing journey has been shaped by her early experiences upcycling old clothing long before it became a popular trend. This skill remains her specialty. In 2021, she launched a home-based sewing services business, which has flourished and highlighted a widespread lack of basic sewing skills and clothing knowledge among the general public.
Driven by her commitment to political and environmental causes, Heather was inspired to start teaching sewing classes to address these gaps. She also channels her creativity into crafting historically inspired fantasy costumes, which she sells at local fairs and will soon offer on her website.
Stay tuned for upcoming upcycling classes or reach out to Heather directly if you have specific requests—she’s eager to explore new ways to share her expertise.
