Kid's Make-N-Take - Candy Bag!
Learn to make your own Trick-or-Treat bag! In this class we will be creating a simple tote bag to fill with candy on halloween night. We will be decorating the front with a single simple design (like a ghost or pumpkin) and sewing that to the front of our hand made bags.
Note: Bags will be 15"x14" when finished, depending on how large your trick-or-treat radius is you may want a bigger backup or 'dump bag' on Halloween night to empty your homemade bags' collected sweets into to continue to have room for tons of yummy candies!
No previous sewing knowledge is needed but would be helpful in creating your bag.
Ages: 9-12 years, as sewing around any curves while decorating the bag may be tricky for younger sewists.
All supplies are included, though students may bring their own fabric if they wish. If you are using store supplied fabric, please arrive a little bit early to select your fabrics.

- Sewing machine in good working order (if you do not have one or unable to transport, please let us know and we can arrange to have one ready for you to borrow for class)
- One 32"x15" rectangle or two 16.5"x15" rectangles to make the bag body
- Webbing or 4"x desired length fabric cuts for strapsScrap fabric, preferably low fraying, to cut our design out of for decoration
- Thread
- Standard zigzag presser foot will work great
