Slow Stitch Charms

Join us for an afternoon of combining reclaimed fabrics, threads and adornments with basic slow stitch methods to create your own wearable hand-stitched charm. Part embroidery, part collage, slow stitch involves combining colours, layers and textures with the meditative rhythm of simple hand stitching as a nourishing ritual to ground, inspire and play. Workshop participants will explore the process and benefits of intuitive stitch and how it can be incorporated into a variety of projects. Beginners are welcome to this step-by-step workshop, guided by Megan Elizabeth (see @threadspells on Instagram). Supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring and/or share any materials you may wish to work with.
