Mini Hex N More Flower

Piecing 60 degree pieces together- Hexagons
- Half-hexagons
- Triangles
- Jewels
- How to use a rotary cutter and ruler
- Accurately sew a 1/4" seam
- General quilting knowledge
Things you need for this class:
- Machine in good working order with fresh needle
- 1/4" piecing foot**
- Rotary cutter with fresh blade, small cutting mat (some will be available for use, but not enough for everyone to have their own)
- Neutral cotton thread for piecing (I like Aurifil, grey for cool colours, beige/cream for warm colours)
- Small pressing mat and mini iron, if you have one. (Having an iron at your station reduces the need to be up and down constantly. There will be irons available, but not enough for everyone to have their own.)
- Mini Hex'N'More ruler - included with class!
- Fabric, quilting cotton:
- 2.5" strip for petals, or scraps of similar colours of medium-value
- 2.5" strip for background, or scraps of low-volume/light-value prints
- Scraps of fabric for flower center
- Fabric scraps available included with class, please pick out your colours ahead of time and we can set them aside for you.

Skill Details:
Should be very comfortable with using sewing machine, have basic understanding of the process of quilting, be comfortable with using a rotary cutter to cut fabric, and be able to accurately sew a 1/4" seam.
