Things you need for this class:
- Machine in good working order with fresh needle
- 1/4" piecing foot**
- Open toe applique foot**
- Marking tool (Frixion pen, chalk, wash-away fabric marker, etc.)
- Ruler with 45 degree angle (2.5" wide is usually a good one for binding)**
- Rotary cutter
- Small mat, if you have one (there are some available)
- Small pressing mat and mini iron, if you have one (there will be irons, but having one at your station reduces the need to be up and down constantly)
- OR seam roller (takes up a lot less space than an iron and ironing mat)
- Hand sewing needle for machine-weight thread
- Thread in a few colours
- Wonder clips, if you have them
- OR pins, or snap hair clips, if you don't have wonder clips
- Fabric and batting:
- Please use up your batting and fabric scraps to make 3 quilt sandwiches approximately 5x20".
- Bring approximately 0.4m of pre-cut 2.5" strips. They do not need to be full width of fabric, but you can bring 5x full 40"+ strips, or 10x 20" strips, etc. Use your scraps! Just bring about 0.4m worth. (200" total length as another way to put it)
- If you need materials, you are welcome to come get some from us in-store at no charge for the class, but please come before the time of class to get the materials so they are prepped and ready for class.
