Instructor: | Jeanine Hartman |
Instructor Bio: | B.Sc. B.F.A. B.Ed During high school in Holland, Jeanine got her first sewing machine, a hand-cranked Singer once owned by her great-grandmother. She was always doing some kind of fibre art. This led her to NSCAD where she combined printmaking with fabric and made quilts from the prints. As a high art school teacher in New Brunswick, she instilled the love of creativity in many of her students. When she retired to Victoria, she took sewing classes at the Makehouse to upgrade her sewing skills. Not long ago she fell in love with a Bernina 335, which is now her steadfast companion in many fibre adventures. |
