Embroidered Gift Bag (Beginner)
If you have an embroidery machine and haven't had the time, or courage, to plug it in and try it, join us. In this hands-on class, learn the art of machine embroidery while customizing a charming drawstring gift bag. Perfect for beginners, you'll explore essential embroidery techniques, design selection, and how to stitch on fabric. By the end, create a beautifully personalized bag ready for gifting or personal use!
There will be bags provided and a selection of designs to choose from.
Skill Level: Beginner
Skill requirements: There are no prerequisites for this class
Must be aged 16+
- Your embroidery machine in good working order with a fresh embroidery needle
- Hoops to fit your embroidery machine
- Cut-away stabilizer, medium weight
- Embroidery thread in colours of your liking, though there will be some available for use.
- Bobbin thread, white
Optional to bring to class:
- A selection of embroidery designs on USB
What is included:
- A selection of drawstring gift bags to choose from - wine bags and for small gifts
- Recirculated embroidery thread
**If you do not have an embroidery machine of your own, we have limited machines available for use in this class. Please inform us if you need to borrow one**
Please also note that we are more familiar with some machines than others. Bring your embroidery machine manual with you, especially if you have a non-Bernina/bernette machine and/or it is older than 20 years.
