The Perfect Fit: Leggings Workshop

Come learn how to sew your very own pair of leggings. Are you new to 4 way stretch knits? - if so this is a great class to get you started working with knits. You will leave this two week class with fun pair of leggings using a simple pattern from Jalie Patterns.

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to add fabric appliqué designs to a pre-assembled garment using scrap fabrics, stencils, or your own freehand drawings. This is a great way to replace worn lettering, add custom shapes, or transform a plain piece into something personal and unique.

In this workshop, students will sew their own pair of Demeter Dungarees using the Belladonna Patterns design. Guided by the pattern’s designer, participants will learn how to work with a PDF sewing pattern, fit a garment to their body, and construct a pair of dungarees step by step.

In this focused workshop, you’ll practice sewing three different types of buttonholes and learn how to attach buttons both by hand and by machine (if your machine has a button-sewing foot). Intro to Swimwear

Join us for this fun and skill building intro to swimwear class, where we will take you to next level in your sewing skills by working with technical fabrics and elastics, utilizing specific techniques for swimwear.

Customize Your Class: Are you and a group of friends wanting to make a pattern, a project, or want to try a new technique, but need some guidance? Contact us with your idea and we'll reserve space and time with an instructor. Or, host a community night with your group to work alongside each other. Space available for teambuilding, low-key parties, and get-togethers. We're here to support you on your sewing journey!

Class Policies:

 

  • Registration is confirmed with full payment.
  • If minimum participation is not met by one week prior, class may be canceled. Cancellation for this reason may happen up to 48 hours prior to class.
  • We reserve the right to cancel classes any time due to emergency situations. 
  • Classes canceled due to low attendance will be postponed to a new date which will be workshopped based on current registrations availability whenever possible. If no suitable date can be found, the class fee will be refunded. 
  • In respect for instructors and fellow classmates, classes are non-refundable one week prior to start of class. If minimum participation is still met, store credit may be given at this time, with notice prior to class.
  • You are responsible for making sure you have the necessary supplies ahead of time for each class. If a supply list is not provided in the class description, please ask for one. They may be provided separately. 
  • Students receive 20% off supplies for class, as well as off machine accessories, notions, and fabric the day of class. A discount card is available for students to use at other local fabric supply stores, available upon registration. 
  • In respect for instructors and fellow classmates, please refrain from wearing heavily scented products.
