Welcome to the first official Amazing Victoria Jelly Roll Race! This event, co-hosted by The Green Thimble and The Makehouse Co-op, is a quilting extraveganza as you have never experienced it before! Join a group of quilters to sew a quilt top in an afternoon. The jelly roll fabric bundle and thread is included! There will be prizes! There will be tea and cake! Bizz will start the afternoon off by explaining the construction of the quilt top (measuring approximately 50 x 64"). Once everyone's questions are answered, a timer will be set and the construction will begin! Welcome to the Eco-Stitch Society, where creativity meets sustainability in every stitch! Do you want the community and support of a guild, but you aren't a quilter? Though quilters are also welcome! Our club is building a community of makers passionate about upcycling and sustainable sewing practices. Whether you're a seasoned seamstress or just starting out, Eco-Stitch Society offers a supportive space to share ideas, techniques, and inspiration. From transforming thrifted garments into stylish new pieces to repurposing fabric scraps into beautiful quilts and accessories, to zero-waste patterns and more, our meetings are filled with innovative projects and eco-conscious crafting tips. Join us as we stitch together a greener, more sustainable future, one repurposed thread at a time!

Customize Your Class: Are you and a group of friends wanting to make a pattern, a project, or want to try a new technique, but need some guidance? Contact us with your idea and we'll reserve space and time with the technician. Or, host a community night with your group to work alongside each other. Space available for teambuilding, low-key parties, and get-togethers. We're here to support you on your sewing journey!

Class Policies:

 

  • Registration is confirmed with full payment.
  • If minimum participation is not met by one week prior, class may be canceled. Cancellation for this reason may happen up to 48 hours prior to class.
  • We reserve the right to cancel classes any time due to emergency situations. 
  • Canceled classes will be fully refunded. 
  • In respect for instructors and fellow classmates, classes are non-refundable one week prior to start of class. If minimum participation is still met, store credit may be given at this time, with notice prior to class.
  • You are responsible for making sure you have the necessary supplies ahead of time for each class. If a supply list is not provided in the class description, please ask for one. They may be provided separately. 
  • Students receive 15% off supplies for class, as well as off machine accessories, notions, and fabric the day of class.
  • In respect for instructors and fellow classmates, please refrain from wearing heavily scented products.
